  • Third Party Liability: Third party liability coverage protects the vehicle owner and driver for property damage and bodily injuries for which they are legally responsible

  • Accident Benefits: The part of auto insurance that provides medical care and income replacement benefits to insured persons injured in a car collision, regardless of who caused the accident. In some parts of the country, this is referred to as “Section B.”

  • Collision or Upset: Covers your automobile when it is involved in a collision with another vehicle or object. This is an optional coverage and is not required by law.

  • Comprehensive: Protects your automobile against loss or damage other than when it is involved in a collision. Examples of perils covered are hail, flood, theft, fire, glass breakage, falling objects, missiles, explosions, earthquakes, windstorms, vandalism or malicious mischief, riot or civil commotion, and collision with a bird or an animal.
